This study is concerned with the housing and living environments of Aboriginal peoples residing in Canadian Prairie urban centres. It is divided into two sections: a select annotated bibliography and a brief assessment of the literature. The annotated bibliography section identifies and describes the findings of 121 publications dealing with urban Aboriginal issues. The assessment of literature section summarizes important findings of past researchers, assesses the overall state of knowledge in the subject area, identifies gaps in the research, examines data sources, and highlights opportunities for new research. The goal of the report is to provide a foundation for the future development and implementation of a co-ordinated research strategy designed to explore Aboriginal urbanization in Canadian Prairie urban centres.en_US
