Abstract

This is the outline for a course given as part of the 2005 WIRA Summer Institute. Course content is organized around a number of broad thematic areas related to neighbourhood studies. Themes include: defining the inner city, community building strategies, the role of policy in the development of neighbourhood infrastructure, community art, health, and housing issues.
